Corn Cob Jelly

My Country Cupboard is fully licensed in a certified kitchen, including licensed to sell in all 50 states. We use delicious simple ingredients. No artificial colors, preservatives or high fructose corn syrup. We use pure cane sugar and lots of love, and all products are made in small batches in central IL.

The Great Depression left many a cook trying to make food out of anything they could find. While there were rations of sugar, the goal was to stretch it so the sweetness could be enjoyed for longer and smaller amounts than quickly consumed treats Farm wives found that they could make an infusion from spent corn cobs and turn it into jelly. This farm wife has brought that flavor back to the kitchen cupboard. Warm biscuits and this jelly will warm any tummy, or sweeten a cup of steaming hot tea.
