Wow! I have just finished my tenth year of marketing my products. I say "my products" because things have evolved in this ten years.
What started at the local farmer's market, has become a full time(+) retail AND wholesale business. What started as taking a few baked goods to the market because, in the words of a Woman's Club member, "It would be so nice to have someone who sold baked goods. It would round out our market nicely", has evolved to over 100 varieties of jam, jelly, butter, mustard and more.
What started as a nice little extra money, has evolved to "Gee, I guess I need to start looking more professional and should do more with a website. Which brings me to starting a blog, where I hope to bring ideas for using our products, sharing recipes and sharing a bit of my heart with you, my wonderful customers.
While I attempt to have content on a regular basis, keep in mind that I still do many vendor events and my calendar is FULL from Labor Day weekend, right up through Christmas. I'd also like to know what YOU would like to see from My Country Cupboard. Several of our flavors have come about from suggestions made by our customers. Some have worked well, others have seen some shelf time, but fizzeled to make room for other new products.
I'd also like to hear from you on your favorite ways to use our products. My next posts will be sharing recipes. Winter always seems like a good time to try new recipes and find our new favorite comfort food while warming the home and adding wonderful aromas.
Happy Cooking!
